Why can't my Xbox One S wireless controller detect headsets?

I bought my Xbox one S Wireless Controller in August 2018, and the 3.5mm headphone jack has been working fine. Then, yesterday it just stopped working completely. Can someone help me?

It is 10am 27th of October - where is the promised driver and the promised Xbox Accessories App?

HELP! my controller seems to be able to connect to my computer via usb cable and the wireless adapter but the Xbox accessories app is unable to detect a controller. When I first connected the controller via wireless adapter, it was able to detect it and
there were some driver updates, but it disconnected halfway through and after many retries, I have yet to be able to make Xbox Accessories detect controller.

 

Xbox One controller (wired) not PROPERLY recognised

Whenever I plug my (XBONE) controller into the PC, it is recognised as "Controller", not "Xbox Controller" or "Xbox One Controller". I downloaded the Xbox Accesories app, but it didn't help with my issue. Is it possible change the recognition or I need to
go wireless?

I ran Minecraft (Win 10 Edition) and it didn't detect the controller.

Minecraft also didn't recognised my wireless X360 controller as well.

I'd suggest to go to our site and check out the steps on either

Set up and troubleshoot your Xbox One Stereo Headset to help resolve the issue.

Try looking through those articles, give those steps a go, and let us know how that helps with the problem

I’ve tried 3 different headsets and none of them are working... pretty sure its the controller.

Please try to test another control, also make sure to change the batteries in your control and see if that fixes it.

Make sure to try and update your control on the Xbox one.
Update your Xbox One Controller.
