    Why Can’t My Friend Join MY Minecraft World?


    Hello, recently I’ve been trying to get my friend (PS4) and me (PC) into a Minecraft (bedrock) world. After successfully creating the Minecraft world, my friend (even after friending and inviting) cannot join the world. My friend told me they didn’t get an invite and couldn’t join. As of now, I made sure multiplayer world settings are all on, and there are no issues with my settings or anywhere on my end. (Side note: I am not using realms.)

    Hey guys

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently unable to join any of your Friends on Minecraft.

    Even though you may have an Open NAT type, there still could be certain network configurations that could be preventing you from joining your friends, especially if you are using something like a community network.

    You might have to perform port forwarding on your router in order for you to be able to open up the ports necessary for Xbox Live to work as effectively as possible.

    I will provide the
    networks ports used by Xbox Live     here for your convenience:

    • Port 88 (UDP)
    • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
    • Port 80 (TCP)
    • Port 500 (UDP)
    • Port 3544 (UDP)
    • Port 4500 (UDP)

    You can find out how to port forward by visiting the
    port forward website    , additionally, remember that you have to have a static IP address on both your console and your network in order for this to work.

    Thanks for sharing this, this is definitely the best coarse of action for anyone dealing with NAT issues.

    This maybe hard for some people to get there heads around but there are some great videos on youtube to run you through the process!
