    Why can’t microsoft figure out how to update Xbox one when I am NOT in the kiddlenof a show...


    Why is it that every other service I use is able to update their product without interrupting my use of the product? It is one of the most ridiculous things in tech world that when I am using my Xbox One and suddenly this stupid thing pops up and interrupts
    with a stupid attempt at a cheerful message Insinuating that I am super fortunate that they are updating something I’ll never use like new beard and earring types for avatars.

    Honest to God Microsoft figure it out. The painfully slow and lame update process for XBox One makes me want to pull out all my teeth. It says ALMOST THERE... yet has been stuck on 92% for what seems like forever. It saddens me to think how much you pay
    your developers when they can’t even figure out how to properly update a product. Pick any lame product that costs 2% of your garbage system and they’ll have figured out what you dopes fail to do priperly.

    Hi there,

    As mentioned above, you can change it to manually update. I just wanted to add to that to keep in mind that after sometime it will force an update but that's after quite sometime.

    You can go to settings and change updates to manual.

    Manual updates

    If you want to get the update manually:

    1. Make sure your console is connected to the internet, and then press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select System > Settings.
    3. Select System > Updates & downloads.
    4. Under "Updates", you’ll see:
      • Console update available. Select this button to begin your update, or
      • No console update available. This means your console is up to date.

    Ok. Microsoft is a multi-billion dollar organization, with hundreds of software engineers and not ONE of them can figure out how to fix this EFF up. Come on, seriously? This is why I am so worried about updating anything that has a Microsoft logo. If
    it works, why fix it? Cause after the fix it will either be totally dead, or attempt to take over the world.

    Microsoft, Bill Gates, realize that it is your update that caused this error, take your lumps, fix it, and all the geeks will be happy again.
