    Why can't I view adult websites on Microsoft Edge Xbox1S


    Ok, this is kind of awkward but I suppose this would be the place to ask. Trying to watch videos on certain sites, the video will stop 2/3-3/4 of the way through, just dead stop. A little bitty notification pops up on the bottom that says something like
    "playback is not supported". The only reason I'm even asking, because I can watch on a different device, this isn't that big of a deal, but if the playback isn't supported then why does it play part of the video and then stop?

    So, I dunno, is there a different browser that would work? Or is the Xbox just never gonna let adult content play? What's the dealio!?

    Having a corrupted app file is one of the possible reason why your Xbox One Microsoft Edge is not responding. To help you resolve this concern, I recommend that you reset your Xbox One into factory defaults. To do this, you may follow the steps below:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select All Settings.
    4. Select System.
    5. Select Console info & updates.
    6. Select Reset console.
    7. On the Reset your console, select Reset and keep my games & apps.

    In the Spring update, coming soon, there will be a new version of Microsoft Edge. This may let you view the sort of websites that you talk about.

    Clear your browser history (how to do) and login to https://account.xbox.com/settings using your Microsoft account. Try connect using Microsoft Edge browser.

    If yours is a child account, you can't change privacy settings. Child accounts are considered all accounts under the age of 16 for the US & EU, 19 for South Korea. If there isn't an adult account associated with the child account, the adult will have to make a Microsoft account & associate the already created child account with it. Only parent accounts can change settings.
