    I have $10 in my account and I want to purchase 1 month of Live for $9.99, but it won't let me. Why not?

    Why are we NOT allowed to purchase Xbox Live Gold using money in our Microsoft Account?

    I have money in my microsoft account. I would like to use that money to purchase Xbox Live Gold! Why am I (or we) not allowed to do so? I purchased Microsoft Currency cards which I then redeemed. I have $ in my account. Why are we not allowed to use that
    money to buy xbox live gold from the marketplace? What am I supposed to do with that money in my microsoft account.

    This is the same company, right? Microsoft Xbox Live Gold / Microsoft Account? What is the problem?

    I would like an answer to this question. Please don't point me to some policy text where it says that at this time we can not purchase xbox live using microsoft account. That's BS.

    it is because you can only purchase stuff from the marketplace like games, game add on content and media. you can ONLY buy live with a credit card or paypal or a store bought Live gold card. Since when you buy Live on a console you are buying a subscription
    and you need a recurring payment on file to pay for the next installment.

    You can buy 1 month of Live for $9.99 with a credit card and turn off auto-renewal. They know most people won't turn off auto-renewal and they'll keep getting billed every month.

    So, the answer to the question is...

    Microsoft won't allow you to use your account balance to pay for Live because they want your credit card on file so they can keep getting your money every month because they're greedy jerks.

    I was undecided about which new console to buy, but this helped me make up my mind. Since I'm not allowed to spend that lousy $10 to purchase Live for a month, I will not buy an Xbox One. I will go with the PS4.

    I know online costs money for PS4. That's not the point. I don't play much online which is why I just wanted to spend my $10 for only 1 month of Live.

    Microsoft *** me over for a measly $10 and they can go to hell. They lost a console sale for that.

    I paid $40 to be able to make Purchases on Xbox Live. But due to an error in Microsoft's System I can't even use this money that I purchased with my money to buy something that they'll make profit from. I still don't understand why they can't just register
    the currency that I've paid for already.

    I understand that. But the issue is that it's reporting that I don't have any money on my Microsoft Account on the Xbox website and on Xbox Live despite me buying two $20 Cards. Yet, on the Commerce Website, it shows that I have $40 USD. My issue is that
