    Why can't I use my microsoft account to purchase games?


    Iam already at 2 hours figuring how to use microsoft account as an payment method to purchase my game. I already have enough dollars to purchase but I don't know how. There is no option there for microsoft account. There is only add credit card..

    Iam in Philippines and i have 15$ in my microsoft account. Please help me! Thank you, sir!

    You gotta do it from your console and select ms account

    That's only if your content isn't region locked

    Ok! I already fixed it by myself. Thanks to my patience but also for your little info. I discovered that I should change my region from Philippines into United States then its now working!

    Keep in mind that because your account region and your physical location don't match, you will have issues downloading some content.

    Why is this a thing? It clearly states I have "Microsoft credit"

    It is a bit ridiculous that I can't use this credit to purchase a game for my Microsoft console.

    I disabled ask to buy in Xbox Family and worked fine. Remeber to turn on again after the purchase 😉

    Log in to this link with the account from which you want to make the purchase:

    Click on the magnifying glass icon at the top.

    Type the name of the game you want to buy and enter it, from that game page try your purchase.

    Hi Janet,

    I have the same question. I signed into my son's account. He has $60 worth of GCs loaded as credit into his microsoft account. When he signs in and attempts to purchase a game for $49.99 it only offers the options of Pay Pal or credit card. When the approval is sent to my account, it askes how I would like to pay for the game; Pay Pal or Credit Card.

    How do I use the credits in my son's account to purchase the game?

    I certainly don't understand why I can't make purchases of 360 games with BC using funds in my account. why do I need to use a credit card when I have funds in my account? Never mind if it's the "rules" - What is the logic?
