    How to purchase using redeemed account credit?

    Why can't I use the the credit that is on my account? I redeemed an Xbox card I got for Christmas and I can't make a purchase.

    Can't authorize payment method

    I have tried 4 different cards, 2 of which I have used previously on xbox live all my info matches exactly with my banks and credit card companies. This would also not explain why I can't use my paypal account either.

    Thats the problem I am not willing to add my credit card and thats why I bought credit from a store. The credit shows up on my account but I cannot use it.

    You can't use your Microsoft credit to purchase live. You either need to have a credit card on file or purchase an xbox live card from a retail store.
