    Xbox can't unlink the gamertag from your EA account, the link process occurs on the EA servers not on Xbox, the only ones able to unlink an account would be EA support

    Try this method:

    Go to the https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/aboutme/index

    Click on Connections.

    Find the account you want to unlink, and click the Unlink button next to it.

    Read the disclaimer and make sure you want to unlink, knowing all the risks above.

    Check the box next to I understand and wish to continue.

    Click Unlink.

    If you cannot find the unlink button, try using a different browser instead or go incognito just to make sure nothing is blocking it.

    I understand that they can't hand over the account because it's not mine. However, as I explained and verified through EA, that it is my Microsoft account it is attached to. They have said that it will erase all saves and progress on games which I said "Why would that matter to me since it is not my account"

    All Im asking from EA was to unlink account not to take ownership of it.
