    Why can't I spend MY Microsoft account money to purchase an Xbox Live Gold subscription?


    I bought a pre-paid card at WalMart and was hoping to come home and re-new my gold subscription, only to find out that Xbox doesn't allow you any option to purchase one month of gold with the money that is in your Microsoft account.

    So why the [Mod Removed] is there no option to buy the same denominations of Xbox live subscriptions through Microsoft as you can in-store? And why can I not use the
    [Mod Removed] money I paid to Microsoft, to purchase my Microsoft Xbox Live subscription?

    Someone please explain how this is logical or reasonable in any manner!

    Why are we NOT allowed to purchase Xbox Live Gold using money in our Microsoft Account?

    I have money in my microsoft account. I would like to use that money to purchase Xbox Live Gold! Why am I (or we) not allowed to do so? I purchased Microsoft Currency cards which I then redeemed. I have $ in my account. Why are we not allowed to use that
    money to buy xbox live gold from the marketplace? What am I supposed to do with that money in my microsoft account.

    This is the same company, right? Microsoft Xbox Live Gold / Microsoft Account? What is the problem?

    I would like an answer to this question. Please don't point me to some policy text where it says that at this time we can not purchase xbox live using microsoft account. That's BS.

    I can only buy a year through my in-dashboard options, and through xbox.ca, I can only purchase one month, or one year, and it has to be via credit card or paypal.

    subscriptions can not be purchased without a payment Instrument, your local currency gift Card is no actual payment Instrument, thats why it wont work.

    on xbox.com i see 1m and 12m subscription available, while my console allows 1m, 3m and 12m, though 1m and 12m makes sense for those who never are sure if they quit the next month or who are sure they stay for Long. on ppc Prices are already reduced compared
    to systempurchase so the reason why there is no 1m propably is: because it wont benefit? who knows..

    If you can't download Xbox 360 games on Xbox One, here's a solution (includes new b.c G.R.I.D 2)

    I spend same amount money for Gold subscription as people who live in U.S do, but I can't get free games like them. Why ? Because of this region restriction.

    Xbox One is totally free region console, why this restriction is still there ? I've been asking live support for years but there's no chance has been made.

    Bypassing this is the only way to getting free games or buying some region blocked Xbox 360 games. You guys are living in the US or Xbox live supported regions so this's way too normal. But to me and people who are playing Xbox One, spend same amount of
    money for gold member like you but can't get what we deserve with well-spent money.

    Yes, you can. Basically, the only things you cannot purchase with money in your Microsoft Account are subscriptions, like Xbox Live Gold.

    You can not use the money in your Microsoft Account to purchase xbox live gold. You will need to use a credit card or buy a prepaid subscription card
