Why can't I sign into my Xbox account on Xbox.com?

Yesterday, I tried to sign into seaofthieves.com with my Xbox account to sign up for the insider program, and I got redirected to the "Known Issues.." page, so I thought "Oh no, not this again." So I tried signing into the Microsoft website with my account,
and everything is fine; I can look at my Microsoft profile, change account settings, and do pretty much anything Microsoft related. But when I click the Xbox button on the top of the webpage, and click the "Sign In" button, it appears to be signing me in,
but all that happens is that the sign in button moves slightly to the left, and becomes un-interactable. There is an image of that as well. Then, when I press the "Home" button in the "My Xbox" tab, I an redirected to the "Change your child's..." page. I
see this on every device I have whenever I try to log into anything Xbox related through a browser. But This is where it is weird. I can sign into my Xbox One console, download and play online games, and make purchases with no trouble at all. I can sign into
the Xbox App on IOS and Windows 10. My account was once under an age that was much older than mine to be able to play online games, but I have since changed it back to my real age (which is between 13 and 18), and changed the email address and name associated
with the account before I got my Xbox One. The account has never been a part of a family. I have been trying to figure out what is wrong, but I have not found anything on Google. I believe that this may be related to why I can't save backward-compatible games
from Game Pass. I need to know how I can fix this (And if I can't, then if anyone at Microsoft can help.) because it is incredibly frustrating and inconvenient as I am unable to access certain content. I thank you very much in advance if you can help.

It definitely sounds like a very interesting issue that is just affecting your Xbox Live account when visiting xbox.com. One thing I noticed from your description is that you said you changed your age back to your real age on the same account you used to
play online that had an older age, however I'm not sure how that is possible because you cannot alter the age of an Xbox profile once it was created. The age you have on your Microsoft account does not mean that the age of the Xbox Live profile has changed
at all. This is why you can still sign in to the console and the app because your account is still technically the age that was used when it was initially created.

Right now your account has an age mismatch due to your age being different from your main Microsoft account and the age of your Xbox profile, which is just an extension to your Microsoft account due to the various services Microsoft provides. I think if
you change your age on the Microsoft account back to the same birthdate that was used on account creation, the issue will be resolved. This is why your browser keeps re-directing you to age related support pages.

Change your age back and let us know if that helps.

Check if this happens to you on any Microsoft login page, for example to see your basic profile information at this link

Or to log in to your Xbox profile at this link

If it happens on these pages, try clearing the cache and cookies of the browser you are using and try again, also check if it happens connected to another network, for example connected to a mobile hotspot.

The reason why you're not able to access your account privacy options online because the system may be recognizing that you're using a child account.

If you're still minor, please ask assistance from your parents. They need to setup a Microsoft family then add your account there as a member. Once added successfully, your parent's account can access your privacy options using their own account on this link https://account.xbox.com/Settings to change your privacy settings.

I tried that, but every time I try to visit account.xbox.com, it automatically takes me to a page about changing your child's Xbox privacy (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...ge-childs-xbox-privacy-online-safety-settings)
and so I can't sign in. It even happens when I go to Xbox.com and click on "my account"--I get redirected to the same page. I have no idea why this keeps happening. Also, I can't click on "sign in" on the Xbox website.
