    Why can't I set a password after resetting my password?


    Hi,

    My old school xb1 one from 2013 finally crapped out on me. We had a good go, but it was his time to go... I bought a brand new XB1 S and discovered I had forgotten my account password. I ran thru the steps of recovering my password (email, reset, reset number,
    enter new passwords) but discovered that I CANNOT ASSIGN MY ACCOUNT A NEW PASSWORD!!!

    After resetting, I continue to receive this error message while trying to assign the new password:

    There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later.

    My old account has xbox gold, and a lot of subscriptions set up that I need access to.

    Please help!

    Can't login even after resetting password

    Hi, I've been having trouble signing into my other Microsoft account on my Windows 10 PC.

    This is a new account so I don't have any of my purchases that I have on the other account but it repeatedly says I have the wrong password

    I went through the password reset process and changed the password but it still tells me I'm putting in the wrong password and won't let me login.

    I've tried on several devices and I can't login on any of them.

    Is there a waiting period before the new password updates or is there something else wrong with my account?

    Hey there Tidmouth Milk!

    I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue, but let's see what we can do to help.

    Usually when you successfully change your password, it sends you confirmation that it was indeed changed.

    Did you get a confirmation email?

    There is no waiting period for your password update to go through, it should be instant.

    If it's not going through on your devices, I would try it on a different network.

    Try it while connected to another network and let us know if that helps resolve the problem

    I understand you need help in resetting your account password.

    If you do not see any security proofs anymore that you can access on there, it would be best to fill out the recovery form so that you can recover your account instead.

    I can't fix Error 80072741 (On my Xbox 360)

    I made an app password, but "next" and "remember password" is still greyed out. So I can't continue after typing in my password.

    EDIT: TFA was off, I don't know why I turned it back on and made an app password.
