Why cant i send messages?

When i send messages on the computer it says "due to past behavior" and even on my Xbox it says "messages did not send? And i just recently bought gold for one month. Whats going on Xbox. And i have a good reputation.

 

What happens when you try and send one?

Some things to check: -

1. Double-check to make sure your account isn't restricted due to an enforcement action. Sign in here and take a look: -

2. The next thing to try, if you haven't already, is attempting to send a message via the Xbox app or Xbox.com. That will help you narrow the issue down.

3. Next, try giving your console a full reboot. Hold the power button down on the console itself to turn it off and keep holding it down until it turns off and the light on the PSU turns orange. Then boot it back up and see if messaging works.

4. Try removing your account from the console and re-adding it. This will remove all of your local game saves, but as long as your console has been connected to Live, your saves will be backed up the cloud and will sync as your launch games/apps.

5. Do a factory reset of the console, choosing the option to keep your games/apps.

If you get to step 2 and you find you can't send messages via the console, app, or website, then it's unlikely that steps 3-5 will work, so if that happens I would contact Xbox Support via online chat or on the phone.
