Why cant i see my friends

So i can see my friends on the live tile yet when i click on friends it says it cant be showen at the moment. im getting real fed up now of this happenong

ok, i can see my friends but i cant see their gamertag nor can i see them on a map. i just restarted my world because my best one got corrupted and weve got pretty far i dont want to restart again help! how do i turn these on? i cant even see the gamertag
on split-screen

 

Yep i am wondering why i pay so much a year for a half baked service i mean if i wanted this tye of service id have gone to PSN. i understand things go wrong but this is taking the pee now

 

Having the same problem here. It's a little frustrating. I did see that the new xbox one system update is changing things in the "friends" area of the system but that shouldn't be negatively effecting our friends lists.

 

Mine works fine. Try doing a reset.

 

It seems ok for me.

Set up a party about 7pm tonight and invited a friend in with no issues.

The Mrs is playing on my console as I type this, got her to check friends list, says I have 58 online and the list loaded ok.

As I've said in threads recently, sure I can understand peoples frustrations when things go wrong especially when we pay for a service, end of the day though with anything we buy/pay for, things go wrong/have hiccups.

 

Xbox Live core services were down for a little while, but they're back up and running now. All is good here in the UK.

As for PSN, those "I'm jumping ship to the PS4" doods that post on here regularly need to realise that the grass ain't greener on the other side. Far from it.....

Its ok id never "jump ship" i hate sony. plus iv got some very good friends on the xbox. it was about 10pm time i could see who was on from the live tile but when i clicked it it wouldnt show

 

^ The "I'm jumping Ship" crowd always make me chuckle ( Whether from XB1-PS4 or PS4-XB1 ), some people just need a bit of patience and if like me realise there's more important things in life that can go wrong.

But hey, if your really not happy with either service then move on but like mentioned above the other side might not be any better, could be worse for you. I mean 95% of my online time is on XB1, overall it's been excellent with a few hiccups along the way,
other people I know it's with alot worse, same for people I know who regulary use PSN, some it's been a nightmare for, others just slight issues.

So neither is perfect, just worse for some than others, again it's just case of having some patience!

 

It's Saturday for me won't be home til 7 having dinner out tonight. It's almost evening and friends are working for both my Xbox 1 and Xbox 360 smart glass app on my Samsung s5. It's likely working for Xbox 360.

I understand the Xbox 1s windows 8 up is having trouble understanding the Xbox language that's why Pepsi may be having issues with the xb dash. Can stay up late tonight and have all day tomorrow but they should have it fixed by then for me XD.
