Why can't I save my 360 game save files on my Xbox One hard drive?

When it prompts me to "Select a Device" for local save data it only gives me the option to save on "Cloud Saved Games". I'd rather save them on my local Xbox One hard drive as I only have 2GB for cloud saves. I've looked for a solution but have only found
topics relating to recovering 360 save data from 360s onto Xbox Ones via cloud storage. Is there a way to save local data onto my hard drive rather than use cloud storage?

can someone 0lease tell me why my games and save files I have placed on my formated external hard drive for my 360 cannot be seen by my xbox one? i had alot of content on these drives. help!

Xbox Live Gold Family on Backwards Compatible Games (Borderlands 2)

I ran into the following situation when we tried to play the 360 version of Borderlands on our home Xbox One:

1. I noticed my Borderlands 2 save file was not under my cloud saves so I hooked up my old Xbox 360 to copy my save file over to the Cloud.

2. When I tried, I could not copy my wife's save files (different gamertag) to the cloud save files (Igot an error saying it wasn't transferable between profiles). She is technically silver on the 360 (maybe?).

3. Back on the One I verified my characters were accessible. This is when I noticed my wife's profile had a cloud save account different than mine (due to Xbox One family gold sharing?)

TLDR

Is there any way to get my wife's save file on the Xbox One's xbox 360 cloud saves? (via USB or Hard Drive or any other method)

Or if we buy one month of xbox live on the 360 to get the cloud saves feature for my wife's account, when it expires will my wife lose those cloud saves on the Xbox One's xbox 360 cloud saves?

Unfortunately no, it seems that currently you only can use the cloud.

Why do you need to see the files on your PC? If you are just saving game saves on it there is no need to do that. The Xbox 360 formats the flash drive into a different file format than the one your PC uses. That is why you can't
see them.

And here a food for thought. Why is it that when you play classic Xbox games on the 360 why it saves to the hard drive with a added patch BUT you cannot do the same thing with 360 games on the Xbox one or Xbox one x, why not just have a simple extra patch
that allows you to save games to the hard drive of your new console?

Have you consider the alternative to format your Xbox 360's hard drive?

In my first startup, I chose to save the Gears 3 game files to my hard drive while my beta save was on a flash drive, and I did not get the unlocks from the beta. When I moved the beta save file to the hard drive, it unlocked all of my beta stuff when I
restarted Gears.

I guess i will have to start saving the game files to the cloud instead of the hard drive on the Xbox. Its a shame is that i can't transfer due to my one character being level 77.
