Why can't I remove all the shortcuts on my xbox 1 dashboard?

I understand your request as I sometimes would also like to see more of my background picture without being obscured by the overlayed tiles. Unfortunately that is not an option in the main upper portion of the Dashboard. The only thing you can remove are
the sections below the top screen if those don't interest you.

But again my point is it was a better designed dashboard before the NXOE update, why cant we have it back?

Also I don't see how something as simple as creating or removing shortcuts could affect kinects ability to navigate to them, its no different to adding the pins already there I would just like say in where they are displayed on my dash. I can do it on my
windows phone, why not the bigger better machine?

The game isn't installed. It's been uninstalled for months.

One day the shortcut for it started showing up in the Xbox App sidebar.

I would like to remove shortcut from sidebar. There was a folder leftover in WindowsApps that I was finally able to get rid of, but that didn't remove the shortcut from the Xbox App sidebar.

This is a pretty strange question, I know, but is there any way to get rid of the shortcuts that appear on the Start Menu when I download a game via the Xbox (beta) app? I have a folder in my Start directory where I collect all of my game shortcuts, and
while it's not a big deal, it irritates me that I have a Cities: Skylines shortcut in my Games folder and another Cities: Skylines shortcut in the general Start Menu.

When I look in the directories for both the user-specific and general Start Menus, the shortcuts for the Game Pass games aren't there. Even when I right-click those shortcuts, I don't see the option to "Open file location" like I do with every other app.

I assume this is a consequence of using the Xbox app to download these games but I haven't been able to figure out a workaround.

If your talking about the long list of rows like "all programs" list, you can't remove installed items from that list. If he's talking about something on the metro start menu, the tiles, he can right
click and unpin those.

I have several shortcuts that have been saved to My Tags where linked links are no longer available. The uncheck option is no longer available but the shortcut stays attached to my profile. And every time down on my console, this crap reappears and I get
the Dash polluted with those useless shortcuts. MS could release an update that could remove these shortcuts from otherwise unattended markups that are not linked to the link's own shortcut. I await solution !!!!
