    Why can't I purchase a simple game?


    I'm very disappointed with Microsoft. I'm deployed and having issue after issue. I can't purchase a simple 360 game (Black Ops 1). First I can't buy it via Xbox One nor the Microsoft store itself. Yes my billing information is correct. Yes everything else
    is correct. Second, I contact support and there's nothing they can do about it. Zero. "Oh we couldn't purchase it either, sorry! Why can't I purchase a simple game? ;)" Finally one guy from support suggests buying it via Xbox 360, ok I'll try doing that with the one we have in shop. Guess what?
    Didn't work. First I need more memory because 360s have barely any space. So I buy a flash drive. Next, I get an error 80150017; probably because of my region. So I decide to buy a Microsoft points card in hopes of my billing address not interfering. Nope
    didn't work. I'm done trying at this point. If anyone has a fix to what I concluded is a region lock, let me know.

    The part that gets me is the support. Not once did anyone from virtual agents to literal support mention the game being locked because I'm deployed in another country. It's ridiculous. All of this heartache and researching to find out I wouldn't be able
    to purchase this simple game in the end. Fix your system Microsoft.

    P.S. This was typed out of rage. If anyone has any tips I'm all ears.

    Can you try logging in through an MWR wifi connection? Often they have a VPN to allow access to home websites (depending on the location)

    The error code, 80150017, is due to your region. In order to download the game, your account region and your physical location have to match and you have to be in a region where the game is available. There is no
    way around tegion locking.

    I don't understand this either. if it comes to games you can't/don't want to complete to 100%... why not research the game and the achievements before purchasing the game to see if its a game worth getting 100%? It's that simple.

    *sigh* Yup...this brought me to the right place where I can buy it. I shouldn't have done the exact instructions it told me to do, I guess I should've figured Xbox wasn't going to make anything obvious, they never do.
