Why Cant I Play The Game I Own

I have bought Minecraft on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Recently I bought a laptop which runs Windows 10, but for some reason none of the xbox apps recognize that I own Minecraft Windows 10 edition. When I try to install the game, it asks me to shell out another
$30 for a game I already own.

Minecraft is not a Play Anywhere title. You would have to purchase Minecraft for Windows 10 (which is separate from the Minecraft on the One and 360) in order to play it on the PC.

It depends on the game, if the game is capable of offline gaming you can definitely just click "offline permission" on your Microsoft Store App. Then try to play any of your games.

You.need core.Or.ultimate ro play it

You need Game Pass Core (or Ultimate which includes Core) to be able to play online.

Are you seeing an option to get Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate? If yes, it is asking you for an Xbox Live Gold subscription which is required to play a paid online multiplayer game.

You can get the Xbox Live Gold subscription individually.
