    Why can’t I play minecraft??


    Before i begin, i am not on an X-box. I am playing on PE on an ipad mini 4. The microsoft help page about this does not help me because i do not have a console.

    i have a pre existing microsoft account. Im trying to join a friends minecraft server party for their birthday and i put in the server name and network thing and everything and clicked add server.

    It made me log in with my microsoft account which i did, and then it took me to an xbox page where i had to pick an xbox name. I picked one and clicked enter and it went back to minecraft but it gave me an error message saying that due to the way my microsoft
    account was set up i couldnt access servers.

    i clicked the button that said more details or something like that and it said that i needed to log in with a parent account and change the child settings because my account was a child account.

    my account is not a child account. There is no parent attached to my account so i cant log in with one to change the permissions.

    How do i fix this?? Why does it say i am a child account when i am not?? The party is today so i need help as soon as possible

    Hi

    Thank you for reaching out, sorry to know you're facing this issue.

    Apparently your account is minor, Microsoft system automatically sets default age restrictions for account with minor age. Therefor, You will have to create a

    Family Group using another account as Parent( Organizer) and add your account as Child (Member).

    After you successfully create the family group; you can then change the privacy settings in your account. following the steps

    here    .

    Note: Parent account should be adult by age > 21.

    But im not a minor?? The age on my microsoft account is 19 so why does it automatically say i am a minor if i am not?
