why cant i play minecaft multiplayer

Hi this is Chris Schronick i play on Xbox one s and i cant go play with friends or clubs on Minecraft.

and here is the error message

You cannot play on realms because of how your Microsoft account is set up please ensure your online safety settings allow

multiplayer and clubs, see instructions for changing these settings at

aka.ms/MCMultiplayerHelp.

In order to play online on Xbox you need to meet these 2 requirements:

1. Your multiplayer and privacy settings needs to ne enabled. Double check this here
https://account.xbox.com/Settings

2. You need to have a Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Live Gold subscription active in your account

This is a requirement for most of the paid games on Xbox (and consoles in general)
