Why can’t I play games on my Xbox?

Whenever I click on a game, whether it’s a game I own digitally, through game pass, or one I own the disc for, I get to the main menu and my Xbox says “loading data for (game)” for about ten minutes before going to a black screen or freezing me at the game menu. I also can’t download or update anything. I’m not having this issue with cloud gaming games (I use cloud gaming to play certain games because I don’t have a series x, such as crusader kings three). What can I try?

Hello Nate, I don't know what your console model would be or if you've tried any procedure, if you haven't tried it follow the procedures below.

The first is a clear cache

1. Go to the Xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off

2. Wait 10 seconds until it turns off

3. Wait 1 minute with it off

4. Turn it back on

Xbox One reset keeping Games:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.

Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

Note: You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

Can’t play my games that I paid you because of your system problems. I’m so sick why do I stay with x-box if you guys can’t let us play are own games !!!??

so I have refunded the game and haven’t gotten my money back and I can’t play the game why does that happen

Why? It was working fine before I formatted it. Now I can’t play any games stored on my hard drive

Are you sure you don’t have an Xbox One X? The one on the left is required to play the game.
