    Why cant I play backwards compatible games on my new Xbox one X?


    I just recently traded in my old xbox one and got an Xbox one X two days ago but it wont let me play any xbox 360 games that I know are backwards compatible. I tried to play MW3 and MW2 which I have on disc and I keep getting a message that says they are
    not backwards compatible which I know isnt true. Then I try to play other 360 games I have digitally downloaded and it says "Sorry, that didnt work for some reason" No matter what game I try to play thats BC. Anyone else having this problem or have a solution?

    Backward compatibility is not that important.

    If you are trying to find the game on your Xbox One X that is what the problem is.

    The game Remember Me for the Xbox 360 is NOT a backwards compatible game.

    Here is a link to a list of games that are currently backwards compatible.

    Backwards compatible list

    This is why it is not showing up on your Xbox One X.

    Until they put it on that list it will not be able to be played on Any Xbox One

    It is a complete new console with new hardware. Altough, It is fully backward compatible so you can play Xbox One X / Xbox 360 and the original Xbox games.
