Why can't I play any of my game pass games on pc

I am on pc, with a pc game pass subscription. I am fully able to sign in and use the xbox app and talk to my friends but whenever I try to launch strictly a game pass game that I own it asks me which microsoft account do I want to use and I pick the one that my xbox app account is linked to and it gives me an error that says "sorry we couldn't sign you into xbox live". I have tried multiple games and its the same result. Is there a fix?
