    why cant i send messages

    about 3 weeks ago i signed in on my XBL account and tried to send a message but i got one back and it said message didnt send and this happens whenever im messaging anyone whether its a friend or not it still happens

    Welcome to Xbox! Since you're a new player, I'm guessing that you might be seeing an error relating to privacy settings.

    1. To fix this, go to Sign in to your Microsoft account and click privacy settings.
    2. Then scroll down to "Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites" and select "Everyone"
    3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to save
    Another possible reason that you might not be able to send messages is if you have any bans/ suspensions.

    You can check for any bans/ suspensions you might have here- Sign in to your Microsoft account

    Could you walk us through what happens when you try to send a message?

    do you get any error codes or error messages pop up when you go to send a message?

    Are you able to load/view messages you have recieved?
