Why cant I make my profile picture whatever i want just because im not 18+?

I am a 15 year old with an xbox one and recently i wanted to change my profile picture to a character from one of my favorite games. It told me that I can't as a child account. Why is that? It should atleast just be something that a parent could allow from
their account. It's not like im going to make my picture something inappropriate like the some that I randomly spot, but yet im denied of the privilege and not them?

I just want to play my games that i paid for and i cant because i applied an inappropriate image to my profile picture which i fixed it so it wasn't but i still took it down anyways and now im banned i applied for a review im still waiting for results

quick question

Hi, my friend and I were wondering why you cant put a picture of your own from a camera or USB device for your gamer picture, because my friend wants to put the ichigo half mask

as his gamerpicture but it would only let him put it as his background of his xbox.

so is there a reason why? because it is a report based community so if there is a really bad gamer picture you could report them so why not? (I tried and I could not let me do it)

Those are the service rules. A child account can't use custom content and only adult accounts can.

is there a reason i cant change my gamer pic? I was temp banned on my main account, but im not sure if that has a cause in why i cant change it. I have my other account and i also cannot change the gamer picture even though i didnt get reported or anything
like that. I dont know why its doing this, and if anyone has a possible solution, lemme know. I am above the age of 18, so that also cant be why.

Try to change your profile picture here on the Xbox Website, if it doesn't change try contact the support for more information

Yep, same result. I find this odd because if i use someone elses account on the same xbox it works. Im just baffled as to why i cant save settings on my profile.

There was also an issue with the Xbox App and allowing people to change their gamer pic on there a few days ago so this could be the same problem. Another thing you can do is go on your Microsoft OneDrive account and put whatever image it is that you’d like
to be your gamer pic and then apply it directly from your console!
