    Why can't I install Oblivion Remastered on PC Game Pass?


    Weird situation, but I downloaded The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered today on the Xbox app through Game Pass only to be hit with an error stating the app can't be opened and the code 0x80073cfc. I 've already tried reinstalling it, resetting my PC, and resetting the Windows Store. When I download through the Windows Store app instead, it shows that it's clearly been downloaded but the button remains as "Install" no matter how many times I press it.

    Just to test downloading in general, I downloaded Among Us and was able to start it. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

    I understand that you are experiencing crashing issues with Oblivion Remastered on PC.

    I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

    Please verify game file integrity because a corrupt game files can cause crashes. To do this, open the Xbox App. Locate Oblivion Remastered, click the Menu button (three dots), and select Manage > Files > Verify and Repair.

    And then reduce the graphics settings in Oblivion Remastered such as lowering anti-aliasing, shadows, or texture quality. Run the game in Windowed Mode or reduce the resolution temporarily.

    Next is to temporarily disable overlays such as NVIDIA GeForce Experience, Xbox Game Bar, or Discord that can interfere with gameplay.

    Then test without mods. If you’re running mods in Oblivion Remastered, one or more mods could be unstable. Temporarily disable or remove all mods to see if the crashes stop.

    After that is to update Windows and gaming services by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and install all updates.

    And to update Gaming Services through the Microsoft Store. Open the Store, search for Gaming Services, and update/reinstall.

    If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, kindly uninstall Oblivion Remastered via the Xbox App. Restart your PC and reinstall the game.

    Games like Borderlands 2 or Minecraft can be install if I had a xbox one but to PC I can't (xbox game pass PC) !! Why ?!

    Tve Xbox Game Pass from console its different from the Xbox Game Pass on PC!

    Some games are exclusive for console and others for PC.

    Btw remember tha Xbox Game Pass on PC it's just started, so you will see more and more games will be add on Game Pass.
