Why can't I get java edition for free?

I have windows 10 edition on my Xbox though I can't get a java edition account even though I'm supposed to be able to. Can anyone help?

The promotion was only available on PC, not Xbox. Since you had it on Xbox, you wouldn't have been eligible for the promotion.

Some players are experiencing a delay to receive the other edition, according to official announcement, if eligible the process can take up to 72 hours to be reflected in your account.

Try double checking if you're signed with the account that purchased the other edition, if necessary you may need to contact Minecraft support for further assistance or see if you're eligible for the offer

I only have bedrock edition for Windows 10 not java. It says I need to buy Java edition even tho I have bedrock Windows 10 edition. Why can't I claim it it should been available for a long time now

So the issue is not to create the account now, is that you wanna get the Minecraft Java edition on your account

Only the account that made the purchase of the bedrock edition can get the java edition for free

No. The java and bedrock edition are completely separate from eachother so if you want the java edition you will have to purchase it
