Why can't I get into my xbox 360 account online on my phone?

Were you able to log into your account on the Xbox console or PC?

Were you trying to log into the Xbox app through your phone?

In the meantime, if you're using a Microsoft account, try resetting its password and log back in again with the new password. Otherwise, try logging in on another device.

Ok so now my xbox 1 games work. For now at least, but why can't I play my 360 game online.

If you're still having trouble adding the phone number as an alias, it could be due to the phone number you're trying to add is already associated with another Microsoft account.

I have also experienced the same issue before. In this case, you'll need to use a different/new phone number from your own number that has not been associated to any Microsoft account yet.
