    Why can't I get a refund on the wrong version of a game purchase?


    I gifted Halo MCC to my dad for Father's Day and he was able to redeem the code and install the game on his Xbox series X, but when he goes to open the game it gives the error code 0x803f8007. The version is Halo MCC for PC but allowed him to download it on an Xbox. I had to buy the game again and for the Xbox Series X|S version. It has only been 2 hours since I originally purchased it but I can't get a refund on the first purchase.

    Hi,

    sometimes purchases have a little delay up to 24h.

    But the most often reason that players don't get their GtA cards is, that they purchased them for the wrong version of the game. The cards are not compatible with the other version of the game (Series X/S or XB1)

    So check your order history and if you purchased the wrong version request a refund and get the right one.
    Only issue is that if they were purchased on March 4th then they are outside of the 14 day refund period.
