    So I am trying to find a old friend but I cant find them I have there gamertag I put it in and he did not pop up.

    why can't I find my friend.

    Hi,

    there are several reason that could cause it:

    1. Your friend changed the Gamertag

    2. Your "old" friends account was inactive for over 5 years and the account was deleted

    3. Your friends privacy settings are so that only listed friends are able to see the account

    I'm afraid the only chance to find your friend would be if you have played a game that has it's own game chat where you can ask for your friend.

    I'm able to find your gamertag threw the Xbox app, Xbox Website and my Xbox One console. Is he perhaps putting spaces between the words in your gamertag when he searches?
