    With issues like these you need to check your NAT type and make sure that it is open. That is most likely the main reason you are unable to connect to his world. You will need to check your Internet connection as well as your Microsoft account sittings. However, if the issue persists, I advise you to contact Mojang for further assistance.

    Yes, it does appear that there is a sort of "friends of friends" feature to the extent that a friend of yours is in another world, you can join that world, even though you are not a friend of the owner of the world. I've not fully tested that, but that
