why cant i download the orange box onto xbox one

Hello, as the entire purchase process on the Xbox website is automatic, try to wait and try to make the purchase later, because there may be a communication problem on the Microsoft side.

The game has been removed from sale on the 360 store and was never in the One store

Looking at the Xbox Games Store, The Orange Box is compatible with Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S:





Though it is "Not Available Separately".

You should be able to purchase through the Xbox Marketplace (The Orange Box (xbox.com)) which should then allow you to download on your console.
