    Why can't I download games for the Xbox 360 on my Xbox One?


    When I try to download a backward compatible game Xbox 360 tells me that
    to complete the purchase I have to continue on my console but....
    I'm on my Xbox One! How can I fix it?

    Can't buy or download 360 games from Xbox one

    Why can I not buy or download 360 games from the Xbox one store on my account? I can't even download the free 360 games on my Xbox one. Now I have to get the physical disc in order for it to work.

    Why can't I download games for the Xbox 360 on my Xbox One?

    If you're on a child account, you'll have to make the purchase from a 360 console. Otherwise, make sure you have a credit card or Paypal on file to make the purchase.

    Hi there!

    Are you attempting to download a backwards compatible game that you have already purchased? In a case like this a screen shot may be helpful, in addition to power cycling and attempting again. Please let us know if the issue persists!

    I can not send the photo... anyway it says: "Your subscription does not allow you to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Complete the transaction on your Xbox." When I try to download Dead Space 3 with my gold subscription from the Xbox

    So you're saying I shouldn't have wasted all this money on the xbox one and stuck with the xbox 360?

    why can't xbox 360 games be downloaded onto the xbox one? can't be much different then what they have in the game library on the xbox one.

    and connection speed may play a part on my xbox one- just not on my xbox 360, pc, tablets, etc.

    Also because of this happening again, now it wants me to download my Xbox 360 profile to my Xbox One and it gets a certain point in downloading and I get an error saying I can't do it at this time. Why do I need to download my profile when I never had to
    before? Now I can't play any Xbox 360 games in my Xbox One now because of this typical annoying garbage that keeps on happening. I get issues with RDR as well where it keeps asking me at times if I own the game when my disc is in my Xbox One.

    This is not a Physical vs digital version, because Contra was only available as a download on the 360.

    Which issue are you answering, why it takes 10 MB on an Xbox 360 and 450 MB n an Xbox One, or why an Xbox One and and Xbox 360 can't connect to the same game, a 360 BC game, for a co op mathcup?

    And in this day and age of digital downloads why can't I have my digitial 360 titles on the xbox one? They were mostly stupid arcade games but fun nonetheless. You can't tell me that MS can't allow the X1 to run a game no more complicated than a flash arcade
    game.
