    Why can't I connect to an xbox live party?


    I just bought a brand new alienware computer. I had no issues using my 15 year old computer, connecting to xbox live party with my girlfriend in the other room. Now all of the sudden I can't connect to any xbox live party. It acts like it wants to connect, then it disconnects and says something went wrong with your party, try again later. That's what it says in xbox game bar. I have deleted all xbox things from this computer and tried to reinstall them, however, I am completely unable to uninstall xbox game bar for whatever reason....so I don't even know if that's the problem or not. I have tried to repair and still nothing works with joining xbox live party chat. I'd like to be able to play with my friends and communicate. So what is the deal here?

    There isn't a problem with my Xbox Live connection and my Xbox doesn't warn me about any NAT issues. I don't know why my connection is like this, but when I play I usually have 3-4 connection bars and can play usually without lag. When trying to join my
    friend's Xbox Live Party, I get the message popup in the top right "Can't connect to Party" and if I hit the center Xbox button on the controller, the party tab says "Cannot connect to Xbox Live Party. There may be connection issues." I can however, connect
    to Xbox Live and play online.

    There may be an update for Xbox game bar.

    If this PC is brand new you may need to do a few system updates once these are done go to the windows store and check for updates.

    if everything is up to date then you cant try reinstalling it.

    To do this begin by right-clicking Start then select Windows PowerShell (Admin)

    then paste this command "Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage"

    after this restart your computer to complete the action.

    Once your PC has restarted open the windows store and download Xbox game bar at this link:

    Oddly enough, I'm no longer being kicked from Xbox Live every 20-30 mins but I can't seem to accept party invitations ; I get the error "can't connect to xbox live party". Thoughts?
