    Why can't I change my privacy settings?


    So I am currently in the process of trying to buy Minecraft java for my pc right now but I'm currently stuck. So every time I am on the store page my account is not signed in, so whenever I click on "sign in" it brings me to the Xbox support Website and says that I cannot "change my privacy settings" because I am a "Child" of a family account, the thing is, I am not a part of a family account in the first place and I have tried getting myself out of this supposed "Family" but even the family home page says I'm not a part of a family, I'm not sure if i have explained this very well so if you have any questions I'll try to answer as quick as I can, Thank you.

    We understand that you are trying to inform yourself about the privilege of the Minecraft subscriber.

    Herea are some articles that may help you get some ideas on your concerns.

    For issues with playing multiplayer games online may occur if your account's privacy and online safety settings are blocked. To resolve your concern, log in to this link and follow the steps below:

    1. Go to the Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety tab.
    2. Set Join multiplayer games to Allow.
    3. You can also change other settings before clicking the Save button.
    4. Play Minecraft again.
    Note For the Child accounts, only the Parent accounts can manage their privacy and online safety settings.
