    Region Issues

    So I'm trying to sign up for a gold account, but it keeps saying I'm in the US, and I can't put in the proper billing information.

    I went to the Region Migration page on the website, but Canada isn't a option.

    How on earth do I change my acount to being a Canadian acount?

    Trouble with Billing Region (State/Province)

    You need to migrate your account to the canadian region to use a canadian billing option

    You can find it here
    live.xbox.com/AccountMigration

    Or your account settings under other and change your région

    Why Can't i Change My Billing Options to Canadian

    Is your gamertags region set to Canada or a different country? If it's set for a different country (ie. US) then you will need to change the region of your gamertag to Canada in order to use currency that you've purchased.

    Hi there,

    Just to be sure please check this link:
    live.xbox.com/.../BillingAccountInformation     if the country/region doesn't say Canada then you do need to migrate the account to the Canadian region via the steps mentioned by onyx. Be sure to read the information page before executing the migration

    Issues like this should be dealt with with xbox billing support not on the website forums and not even in this subsection

    It would be accounts and billing though we still refer them to billing support

    I can tell you as an Canadian that an Canadian account can make Canadian purchases with an Canadian credit card without changing the locale of the website

    It is the region of your account that is the issue

    If you have an us account and physically are in the US then your only option. Is to use a us payment option

    As mentioned you need all 3 to match

    Entering the Canadian creditcard on commerce.microsoft.com.wont work if your account region is us but your payment option is canadian

    That's why the account region must be changed
