    Why cant I add money to family members account on xbox or browser


    I've been trying to add money to an account for over 3 hours, earlier the option was available but then disappeared. I'm on "account.microsoft.com/family" and the add money thing that is usually there is gone. All I get on a family member is the dumb location thing, in the "your features" there's the "add money" square but when I click on it I get instructions that don't fit my screen and a link that sends me right back to the first page which is just an endless cycle of nothing but stress. I keep looking online but other irrelevant things keep popping up.

    I'm getting all green check marks, expect for Skype. I have tried it on my phone using just my data, on bing and chomre. I also tired on my xbox with home wifi, went to edge and it says the same thing as my phone

    This seems to be an issue with the account itself. At this point, you need to contact a phone or chat representative to look further into this.     That is quite disappointing to hear, Eman965.

    I know it's been a hassle, but I do want I do want to point out that here in the forums when money is involved, we don't have the ability to solve such issues. There's actually no magic switch that we can flip that gets this issue resolved right away. That's by design because we would prefer that you talk to an actual Xbox representative in real-time via phone or chat so they can confirm your identity.

    From the description you have provided it seems you are unable to add money to family member's accounts in your Microsoft Family Safety group as described in the link below.

    This issue may have been caused by settings in Microsoft Family Safety that need to be changed. Or it may simply be an issue on our servers since this appears to have happened during the holidays when user numbers peak. So let us work together as a team to get to the bottom of this. But to better assist you I need to ask:



    1) From the device you’re having an issue, can you tell me if you’re getting all green checkmarks when visiting the following links?

    (a) https://portal.office.com/ServiceStatus

    (b) https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status



    2) Have you tried using another web browser than the one you are currently using and see if the same issue occurs?



    3) Have you tried using a different Internet connection and see if the issue occurs? Something like the mobile data in your cellphone just to isolate that it's not an issue with your main Internet connection.
