Why can I pay a bond for the console and I can't pay it for the accessories?

Hi everybody,

Recently, I'm suffering problems with my micro-usb port on my controller and I contacted the service support. I noticed that you can pay "a bond" for the console, where the service support will send you a new console and you will have to give them the broken
one. Once everything has been checked and it's okay they would refund you the money.

Why can't I pay that bond for the accessories? Now I have to buy another controller in order to have a controller during my holidays, instead of paying that bond and giving my broken controller.

The service support guy recommended me to open this thread at the Xbox forums, hoping more people like this idea and finally applying it at the service support.

Xbox Live requirement for online play needs to end - Microsoft does not offer an online infrastructure

I DEMAND the following as I feel I am ENTITLED:

Free online. (why should I have to pay a service you can't see?)

Free games. (In fact, if want me to play your games so much you should PAY ME! You here me devs!)

Free console. (why should I have to pay for a console just to play games?)

Why do I pay for a subscription?

These outages could be caused by things outside Microsofts control. I'm in western Canada have not experienced any outages.

Sorry that you are upset regarding this. Most accessories are low cost items thought and that may be why there is not a pre-charge put on them.

However, your idea may be sound. You should post it at the link below and perhaps they will add the option at some point in the future.

Have you checked your order history at account.microsoft.com to see if it was refunded or the purchase was completed?

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this difficulty playing Destiny 2.

The last few days we were experiencing outages with our core systems and with customers being unable to load their purchased content. This however has been resolved as of late and everything should come up with your profile after power cycling your console
as outlined in
How to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console.

Outages like the one I mentioned earlier can be viewed on our
Xbox Live Status page, for future reference.

I would also check your purchase history to make sure its indeed linked to your account and not another.
