Why can I not sign up for the Apple TV and music 3 months free trial?

Based on your description, you are looking forward to redeeming the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate perks which is 3-Month Free Trials of Apple TV+ and Apple Music. This perk can be viewed through Xbox console's Game Pass section, Xbox Game Pass mobile app, and the Game Pass tab of your Xbox app for Windows PC.

According to this Xbox Wire's article, this perk is for the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members who do not currently have an Apple TV+ or Apple Music subscription free trials. Link: 3-Month Free Trials of Apple TV+ and Apple Music Come to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perks This Holiday

Ultimate members who do not currently have an Apple TV+ or Apple Music subscription can claim either or both Perks on their Xbox console or Xbox app on Windows. Once the Perk is claimed, members will be directed to the respective Apple TV+ or Apple Music site to activate their subscription. Members can claim and activate both free trials now until March 31, 2023.

I signed up or the free 1 month subscription on 12 August 2016., in response to the unsolicited email from Microsoft which stated:-

Up to 4 months of free music

From now to August 17th, get up to 4 months of music for free when you sign up for a Music Pass.* If your're brand new to Groove, enjoy your free month-long trial. During the first 30 days, we'll email you a code for 3 more months - 90 days - of music, on

Sign up & score up to 4 months of music

So having signed up on the 12 August (before the 17th August deadline) I await the code for the 3 months free pass.

Been communicating with Microsoft since the 7th Sept 2016 concerning this issue, firstly with Microsoft Billing Support (with an agent called Jell B), then the Microsoft Answer Desk (ref # 1354697697) than the X-Box forum with Lady Ross (Service Request
1354698403 ) then on this forum. Getting a little frustrated.
