Why can I not sign into my Xbox account on Xbox website?

When I click the "Sign In" button, it works and takes me to an auth page. The name of the link is something like: www.xbox.com/en-US/auth/msa. It does an xbox loading screen, and then just goes right back to the page without signing me in. I looked at other threads and tried those solutions, and it didn't work.

Wait so I have to have an Xbox Live subscription to log into my account? Okay well that is why then.

As I said, I already tried the problem solvers listed in other cases like this one. It is not my internet, I can sign into my Microsoft account on the Microsoft website, and I can sign into the actual Xbox app.

Hey, I am having the same issue. I have an Ultimate Game Pass Subscription and want to change my settings so that I can play with friends. I cannot log into my account, and I am not in a family for Microsoft. I can log into my Microsoft account though.

the live gold service is not mandatory only for logging in, if you are not logging in directly you may actually have a problem, test another account and see if it's just your account.
