Why can I not sign in on my Xbox

I don't have an error code, it asks me to enter a code onto Microsoft

My xbox is not letting me sign in to xbox live but i can sign in on my laptop why is that?

Would you please provide us with further details about the issue. Are you facing any error codes/ messages when trying to log in to your account? The split screen feature does not work on all games or only one specific game?
