Why can I not refund my games?

Since it's well over the 14 days, it would no longer be eligible for a refund.

Ok fair enough can I have a refund on the game as I was led to believe it worked on my console, why did the game store let me purchase it then?

I'm sorry about what happened, if you got an email message that says you got declined for the refund, the best option that I can recommend here is to make an appeal to your request by replying to the email, you will need to explain to them the reason why you want to get a refund and why you should be eligible for it.

“Requests are made within 14 days of the purchase date
Requests are for games in which you haven’t accumulated a significant amount of play time”

Additionally, there are other factors that they take into account once they receive your refund request. As they mentioned in the same article, “be aware that submitting a request doesn’t guarantee a refund, especially if it doesn’t meet the above criteria.”
