Why can I not access fortnite after the updat

after downloading and going to create a party it freezes,

at the very top of the screen there are numbers V6.00 and in parenthesis 4395664

Do you get an error message, or what exactly prevents you from getting into Fortnite?

Have you already tried to restart the console by holding the power button on the console for at least 10 seconds, and then turning on the console again?

Unfortunately, the answer is No, you need to access to Fortnite on Xbox.

However, if I recall correctly, Fortnite can still be accessed via cloud gaming for free.

If your country is supported, you can try using the cloud gaming feature to access and spend the vbucks in that way.

There is a free to play period coming from Nov. 8-11 2018. After that time period you can check the game and see if able to access it. If you are then you keep. AS to there is no information as to why it free today. I say go ahead download it and play then
on Nov 12 see if still have access. Being it came out free on mobile they might actually change it to free to play like Fortnite.
