Why aren't players taken to a new map after a match ends?

It takes me around five minutes to get into a match with 10 players.

Typical matches last around 10-15 minutes.

Once a match ends, you are kicked back to the menu screen where you have to repeat this process in order to play another match.

My question: Why not just take all of the players to another map after the match ends and prevent players from having to go through the long and tedious match making process over again every time they want to play another game?

If i'm searching a Match i got one Problem..

After i found some Players and vote a map is the Match loading... But IT doesnt Start every time... Why?

Better graphics, better framerates, larger maps, more players in an online match.



It will be alright on consoles but PC is where it's at. Just take a look at the Thunder Run trailer. Consoles aren't touching that.

 

I've been wondering this as well I just got the game and was confused when it kept bringing me back to the main page

 

My guess is because the game isn't always played on dedicated servers, and if the host quits, the game ends - as i'm sure you've experienced. I think if the game had dedicated servers it would make more sense to have it go to an after game lobby and queue
for another round. But with players hosting games it'd be too problematic.

 

That's interesting. I assumed there were dedicated servers for Halo.

All I know is that the XBL experience for HTMCC is terrible. I spend at least 1/3rd of my time trying to get into games, which is not a great user experience..

 

For me it depends on the time, I am in the Eastern Time Zone, I can jump into games fairly quickly after 10pm, but I also agree having to keep signing back in to the game is tedious
