why are your servers so inconsistent

ill be gaming for about an hour or so and then some friends invite me to go out so i do and when i come back and get on the servers are down its been happening for a while but please fix the severs they've been down like 8 times this year i'm getting tired
of this. i personally love Xbox in my opinion its the best gaming console but the servers are starting to make it not so. so i ask please fix them.

Xbox is aware of this issue and is working on a fix. In the meantime you can try and offline update or the update troubleshooter.
I'd also advise doing a powercycle of the console. There is currently a service alert up related to this https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status

Unless you live in the San Diego area, I would not be surprised by inconsistent ping results. For load balancing, www.xbox.com may resolve to different servers based on user location. That is why I posted the full server name. Ping www.xbox.com and you should
see the hostname/ip it resolves to. In my tracert, www.xbox.com is one hop away from the last server in my ISP's network.

So your saying its buggy, the controls and gameplay are inconsistent and the AI is poor but its a 9.5 out of 10??

Are you familiar with tracert?

I just ran it for the server you meantioned and found it somewhat intersesting.

The next to the last hop ....... what I would assume would be the server directly before xbox's provider's server, had extremely inconsistent results.

try it yourself ... do it several times consecutively.
