    Why are Xbox One controllers so poor quality?


    Disclaimer: I'm someone that takes extraordinarily good care of my equipment; I never drop, abuse, or misuse anything beyond its normal range of expected use. With that being said, I've had to replace FOUR controllers with about 6 months of use per item. That's $240 on items that should last 2 years EACH, not 6 months! One controller had failing buttons, but the other three all had stick drift that eventually made precision aiming and movement in games like Apex extremely difficult. I can see this being an issue in off-brand items, but not full-priced, brand-new Xbox hardware! I'm going to chance it with Power A and other third-party items instead of the atrocious Xbox brand controllers. Usually you get what you pay for, but not when it comes to brand-name controllers!

    I own 2 that I've had since launch and no issues. My kids also have 2 controllers as well. They tend to throw them and those are still working fine.

    I've have gone through 2 xbox one controllers in less then a year. Ten months to be exact. For one the charging ports suck. Not made to play and charge at same time unless you're one to not move around much. Secondly, the bumpers lack any feel of pressure
    sensitivity and don't take abuse very well. Then there is the left stick issue floating in a certain direction. I have a 360 controller that is 2 years old and has not a single problem with some where around 1900 hours on it. The only thing better I see with
    new controllers is the hiding of the battery. Very displeased.
