Why are Xbox achievements so unstable?

I didn't look at my gamerscore and I got an achievement in the game. I usually look at my gamerscore before I expect an achievement. Today I glanced at my gamerscore and I did something in the game to unlock an achievement and got the achievement. Now the only problem is that I have a feeling my gamerscore didn't add up correctly. I'm unable to tell if it did or not. Now I'm going to have to go back and add up all my gamerscore to see if it added up right. Why do these Xbox One achievements have to be so unstable like this. I never had issues with Xbox 360 achievements except for one delayed achievement.

Xbox One achievements work differently than Xbox 360 achievements to prevent people modding thier gamerscore.

You need to be online for Xbox One achievements to register & if there;s an issue with your broadband connection or Xbox live then sometimes they don't register properly.

I 've had the issue you've described a few times over the years but it has always corrected itself so i wouldn't worry.

So the solution is that there is no solution? Just reinstall every month when it inevitably happens and that is it?

I do wonder why a program this unstable is as deeply rooted in the system as it is.

Sometimes xbox live is unstable so you won't be able to connect

Explain to me why I would want to be friends with someone who is by their own admission violent and emotionally unstable?

Same thing here; completed act 4 when the servers were unstable and the achievement didn't pop. Now other achievements are popping up, but I'm not sure if that one would register properly. I'm on way to completing the game and it would be a frustration to
play those mission one more time
