Advertisements on the home screen - a backwards step

It's amazing the lengths some of you will go to defend anti-consumer practices.

Microsoft originally said that there will be no ads on the home screen. What was there were 3 tiles that showed the latest GWG/sales, game trailers etc. - stuff that gamers would be into.

Now they have taken 1 of those tiles and made it available to anyone who wants to pay to advertise there, so you'll see ads for Taco Bell and things that are utterly irrelevant to gaming, yet even though you are paying for this service, YOU ARE STILL DEFENDING
THESE THIRD PARTY ADS.

Why? Why are you doing this? lol.

mahjong ads

The ads at the bottom of the Microsoft Mahjong are extremely distracting. I think I may not play anymore.

I can forgive that the game isn't 1080p, I can even put up with the drops in frame rate. I cant ignore the awful screen tearing though, it distracts from what would otherwise be a fun game to play

Sorry, but it's not a new title. It's the same game with a new owner. I've paid to have ads removed and that should be good enough. I find the ads incredibly distracting, and it's not as if there was a choice to remain with the old version. I'm afraid the
transition has been rather badly handled, but then that might be expected of Microsoft.
