WHY ARE THESE FORCED UPDATES ALWAYS HAPPENING?!

Not sure why you haven't been forced to update yet.

Hey there, without even knowing the game you're trying to install, I would attempt to take the disc to a friend or family members house nearby (maintaining social distancing, first and foremost) and see if it installs on theirs. If it does, then something
is wrong with your system or the laser. If it doesn't, then you've narrowed the issue down to the disc itself. If the issue seems to be with the system, first option (and cheapest) is to purchase a laser lens cleaner disc (pretty cheap on ebay and can also
be found a bit more expensively at a Best Buy-type store) and then after that, check with hardware support to see if it's something that can be fixed. But let's try those first before it's automatically a "switch to competitor" situation.

Quick question, which system do you have and how long have you had it?

Have you tried clearing your Internet cache and cookies in your web browser? Or tried a different browser? Does it do the same thing on a mobile phone or a tablet?

If you have tried all of these and are still getting the error, you may need to contact Xbox Live support.

It's a pretty common issue. The forums have been jacked for a long time.
