    Why are there no repair/replace service for Xbox Elite Controlers (Series 2)


    After having my first Xbox Elite (series one) controller only last about 2 years, I was not thinking straight and thought that MS would fix the durability issues with the Elite Controller Series Two! Well after about 1 year, the left bumper is non-responsive.
    I only used it for a single online game "Rocket League" but a simple "button" on a $180 controller should be designed to last for more than ONE YEAR!.

    After submitting for a repair, MS simply states its out of warranty (which I know) but provide ZERO options for repair. How is this acceptable? I just don't get it. MS hardware is typically very reliable (well forgetting the first 2 editions of the 360).
    But this is a premium controller that costs almost as much as an Xbox One S!

    After realizing I now own a paper-weight, I did open up the controller to see if a shim could fix the issue but, it turns out, its the actual button, and not the plastic plunger or bumper are at fault. Its the button itself that is not properly registering.
    So, I am without any reasonable recourse and now have a super premium controller that cannot be used and MS recommends getting a replacement. Uggggg.

    Do you really think I’m gonna spend another $180 on a elite controller when the bumper breaks in less than one year. I would be out of my mind. I was out of my mind buying the series two in the first place. I can’t believe Microsoft does not support their
    hardware to an extent that is reasonable. I am truly disappointed in Microsoft support at this point I really question my loyalty to the brand.

    Would Like to get my xbox design lab elite series 2 controller fixed 👎

    I would like to get this controller repaired but I can only find ways to get a replacement. This is a xbox design lab controller so idk if they're gonna replace it, plus the serial number didnt show up when I punched it in. Is there an easier way to get a replacement or a fix for this elite series 2 controller?

    Microsoft did not send me a replacement controller and now wants me to pay for a repair

    I got my controller back and the left stick was still stuck. I don't know If they test the controllers(obviously not) but I do know that if they couldn't fix the controller(which they didn't) they would replace it. I didn't get a replacement, my controller wasn't repaired. An series 2 Elite controller is quite expensive I don't understand why they treat It likes it's nothing. I'm not made of money, please someone help me.
