    According to Microsoft’s refund conditions the 2 criteria are

    1. The refund is issued within 14 days

    2. And a direct quote “Requests are for games in which you haven’t accumulated a significant amount of play time”

    “Significant” leaves for a broad interpretation and I have been denied refunds stating I have played the game meanwhile I have had refunds granted cause I didn’t. I think Xbox needs to set out hard measurable amounts of time instead of leaving gamers wondering if they will be eligible for a refund. Is it me or does bother anyone else?

    That’s ridiculous. What if the game has bugs that prevent progression and operates poorly on the system and you’re completely unhappy with the product? If one is denied a refund less than 14 days of purchase wouldn’t that go against consumer rights?

    Well to be clear you can’t read reviews on a preordered game. Secondly when a game is online only the time that is being logged isn’t necessarily play time cause you spend half the time trying to play the game to see if you do like it. Also Microsoft is a store. They are selling products at their store. If you buy a broken or defective product it is not unreasonable for that store to provide a refund. If the store is given enough complaints about a product they sell at the store, the store would or should stop selling said broken product from said manufacturer. However your answer doesn’t explain why one would go from a clear definition of time to a vague one that can’t be defined.

    Yea, it is subject to interpretation, but from my personal experience refunds are only issued if the purchase was made less than 14 days ago and the game hasn't been played at all. I know if the game has been played for about 30 minutes, they won't issue a refund for it.
